I have fallen in love with Scheepjes Whirls and I wanted to have a go at making my own pattern. It started one evening at Black Cat Yarns, (my local yarn shop,) like this.
I decided to make a conventional shawl shape and after faffing around with hook sizes and which stitch to do between the puff stitches, I decided to go with this.
Once I had worked out a repeating pattern, I was away and I was very happy with the finished shawl. Here are some more photos.
I am very grateful to the members of the Scheepjes Whirl Creations! Facebook group who volunteered to test the pattern. Through the wonders of the internet and social media, the pattern was tested by Linda and Chelsea in Australia, Erika in the US, Fiona in Scotland, Carol and Jane in England and Jenny from Singapore.
